Third annual Fox SurferX, with both the surfing and motocross components of this years competition taking place in Durban.
The unique format promises to deliver non-stop action with some of the countries top surfers and motocross riders taking to both the water and the track in a battle for overall honours.
Based on the highly successful American format, the Fox SurferX sees competitors combining their surfing and motocross skills in a bid to be crowned the ultimate cross over champion.
Competitors will be awarded points based on their results in both surfing and the motocross disciplines, with the competitor accumulating the highest overall total being crowned the 2009 Fox SurferX Champion.
With R20 000 in prize money up for grabs, competition in the water and in the dirt is bound to be intense.
Saturday morning will see the competitors battling it out in the surf at Durban’s Dairy Beach, before descending on the Springfield Dirt Mania Track on the Sunday to determine who is the king of the dirt.
Entrance to the track for spectators will be free of charge.
There are 48 slots open to compete in the 2009 Fox SurferX.
